Let’s get Nordic: the Village Idiot
Nordic Thunder’s podcast tells the truth about air guitar. Justin Howard is better known as Nordic Thunder at least in Oulu and Air Guitar world. Now he starts his own podcast called ”Let’s get Nordic”. Nordic’s first guest is his soulmate Jaakko Jokipii.
Let’s get Nordic is a 30-45 minute long program that will explore the very real lessons one can learn about themselves and their lives through the power of love, play, and belonging to a community that revolves around a unified mission. That mission of course is one of world peace and understanding.
”Let’s get Nordic” will consist of conversations with individuals who have been involved with the community of air guitar either from a competitors perspective, an organizational perspective or that of those who have witnessed the power of air guitar from the peripherals. The guests on the show will talk about and share with listeners the real impacts of playing an invisible instrument has, had and continues to have on their lives and the lives of those around them.
The purpose of the Air Guitar World Championships is to promote world peace. According to the ideology of the competition, wars would end, climate change stop and all bad things disappear, if all the people in the world played the Air Guitar. This is why the whole universe is invited to play the Air Guitar for the world peace at the end of the competition. The competition started in 1996 and it is celebrated every year in August in Oulu.
